Automatic Backup

Context​

When using database in production, having a backup mechanism in place is recommended to avoid any data loss. With Trustnest DBAAS, automatic backup is put in place by default.

Use Case​

  • Rollback data after an unhealthy migration
  • Restore the database after an outage (SLA related)

Configuration​

DBAAS / Postgresql​

DBAAS / Postgresql single server is not backed up

Postgresql flexible server is backed up every 24h, and the service keeps 7 days of backup.

DBAAS / CosmoDB​

CosmoDB is automatically backed up every 2h and the service keeps 7 days of backup.

Opensearch is automatically backed up every 24h.

HOWTO ask for a restoration ?​

To ask for a restauration, please raise a generic ticket to postIT providing your TDFaccountID, the name of your DBAAS instance, and a clear explanation of the backup your want to restore.
